We all know the drill. The love interest (female) falls off a tall tower, only to be saved by the (male) hero.
When someone says the word “villain”, I immediately think of a moustache-twirling Brit stroking a white cat while lounging on a swivel chair. Or a Brit in general.
Okay, so we can’t exactly rip off Indiana Jones, Thor Odinsson or Clark Kent, but when I asked my mother to name some Overly Masculine Heroes, these are her offerings. (Yes, mother, I am proud you named Thor.)
What would an urban fantasy story be without some sort of immortal swooping in and taking over the story?
