Jon Foster isn’t quite sixteen years old, yet he can only remember the last two. Since surviving a car crash and the couple later adopting him, Jon tries his best to stay out of trouble when high school bullies earn him detentions while he fights for top grades in his classes. When a stranger accosts him for not meeting her last year, Jon begins to question what came before the crash.

But then someone claims he’s a god escaping imprisonment, accusing him of planning to bring about the apocalypse. Jon has no idea who any of these people are, just that their plans to re-imprison him get in the way of him passing his exams at the end of the school year.

Caught between the very real future of finishing high school with good grades and the world-ending destiny the gods proclaim he has, Jon must decide who it is he wants to be if he wants to keep his freedom.
